WWII vintage theater Kabar knife & sea monster sheath Cole documented maker

Description

This well made WWII era knife is marked Ka-Bar
.  It is 11 3/4 inches long overall with a 7 inch blade.  It has a theater made handle constructed of clear and colored spacers.  The guard and pommel are aluminum.  The knife comes with an outstanding leather sheath that is decorated on the front with a dragon or sea monster.  If you compare the decoration, the looping leather stitching, the rivets, etc it appears that the sheath was made by the same person as the one documented in M H Cole's US Military Knives Book IV page 146.  This item is used and has normal wear & patina.  Shipping is .99
