Vintage Silson Brooch WWII Union Jack Anchor Wings Crown British England Flag

A vintage piece of history you can wear with honor or give to your favorite military doctor as a token of appreciation for their service.  This brooch carries a piece of history dating back to 1940 during WWII when Silson sold this brooch to raise money for the Ambulance Corps.
It was beautifully created with gold-plated metal with red, white and blue enamel paint to bring out the esteemed British flag topped with a crown for the monarchy leadership and wings and an anchor to represent those who were fighting WWII.  The plate on the brooch is wearing in places and some of the enamel paint has chipped off on the edges.
It measures about 2 inches tall and wide at the longest points.
