Rare LE North Light Hand Painted Lying Calico Cat  1990s England
Continuing to down size my 40+ year collection of model horses. These are either duplicates or molds I don’t plan to collect any more. I’ve been collecting since the early 1960’s and involved in the model horse hobby since 1971. I have been very picky over the years with the specimens I added to my collection. I am not leaving the hobby just downsizing my collection.
North Light of England.  Lovely hand painted lying calico cat. . I am the original owner and was collector number 13 in the club in the 1990s. Gorgeous colors and details. Amazing eyes! The original North Light Horses and animals are very hard to find especially special ordered ones.
North Light models are crafted of a mixture of ceramic and resin, with an addition of porcelain powder. Painted with a mix of airbrushing and hand painting by a highly skilled workforce using acrylic paint the finish is quite delicate and must be handled with care.
Sadly North Light went through many years of hardships and passed through several “hands”. In 2005 North Light and all existing molds were sold to Wade Ceramics LTD. Wade ceased p
roduction of all North Light pieces in January 2009. All molds re now discontinued.
Will be carefully packed and double boxed for shipping. Resulting in a a higher shipping cost.
