Old Charlie been liv’n right here in Snugg Harbor all of his life. Why he can even ‘member when there weren’t no train tracks at all comin’ thru town, let alone need for any ol’ river barges to load out gravel and stuff from Jake’s place over in Gofer’s Gulch.
