    Description

An exceptional Finnish trench art puuko knife.
Made in remembrance of Continuation war and East Karelian company of 1941.
The blade is inscribed with East Karelian (then Soviet) villages names which were re-captured by Finnish army.
The name of the soldier is inscribed on the blade also, it is A. Wahren.
Possibly Michael Alexander Wahlen, born on 26th of April in Helsinki and fallen on 2nd August 1944 in Ilomantsi.
Served in Haemeen Rakuunarykmentti 3. Eskadroona (3rs Squadron of Hamina Dragoon regiment) and burried in Tampere.
The scabbard is inscribed "East Karelia 1941".
The knife is very nicely made and is one of the best Finnish trench art puukos I have ever seen.
Massive 22 centimeter blade and very professionally made handle with animal shape pommel
    .
Knife is in very nice condition with light sharpening and minimal oxidation to the blade, shows wear, some parts of stitching on the scabbard have separated but it can be restored easily.
    A unique historical artefact.
